I joined the Polyglots team because I was interested in the opportunity to help make WordPress more accessible to people who speak different languages. I believe that language should never be a barrier to learning or becoming part of such a large community, so I decided to contribute through translation.
My contribution project consists of translating at least 100 strings from the Sydney theme in WordPress. Through this work, I hope to help more users use and better understand this theme in their own language.
By the end of the program, I hope to have a better understanding of how the WordPress community works and how collaborative contributions are made. I also want to gain the experience needed to continue contributing to future projects and remain an active member of the community. My goal is to help make more WordPress resources available in different languages, making it easier for new people to learn, participate, and become part of the community.
